Chinese New Year 2021
Chinese New Year takes place between 11th and 18th of February next year and will mark the beginning of the Year of the Ox. The Year of the Ox is generally seen as a year of hard work which after the tumultuous events of 2020 rings true to many.
Chinese New Year is one of China’s most important holidays and celebrations will last 15 days in total so it is good to take this into consideration when planning shipments to and from Asia. This time the on-going pandemic will also affect production and shipping schedules. Booking containers and space for sea freights is especially challenging so bookings should be made in good time.
Sea freight between Asia and Finland takes approximately two months and the celebrations will significantly delay shipments while offices and harbours remain mainly closed for the holiday.
In urgent cases, we can also offer air freight and rail freight as an option.
